Hater's gonna hate. To be honest, this place is pretty good. I bought one of their aponogeten live plants and it is doing well. Unfortunately, even the fish specialist didn't know the exact species, but I think its Ulvaeus.
The staff is trained well to sell you cute little "purebred" puppies. After being convinced of how wonderful a cavalier king charles would be for our family, we bought him. He was supposed to be a small 14lb toy dog. 9 months later, he is now a medium 30 lb puppy who was DNA tested and is NOT a purebred. He is part cocker spaniel. Which is fine if I had not been charged thousands of dollars for a purebred. The store needs to check where they get these dogs from. I looked up the info from the certificate and it was on the list of the worst puppy mills of 2015.
I bought a puppy for my daughter for her birthday from this place. The dog was already 5 months old and that should have tipped me off. This dog will NOT house train. It's been 3 months almost and he continues to poop and pee in his cage at night. During the day even after going for a long walk will come inside and poop or pee on the floor. Oh and the best part is a week after getting him we had to take him to the vet and he had Giardia. And we had to shell out a few hundred dollars. If I spend over $1500 on a dog I expect more!!
NOT WORTH THE TIME! My mother and I went into this store today looking for a puppy that would be a companion to our dog at home as our other dog recently died. We arrived at the store at about 2 and didn't leave till almost 4. The store was crowded with customers looking to play with the puppies. We had to wait for about 30-40 minutes for a room to open up for us to play with the "Victorian Bulldog" (which is not recognized by the AKC hence why I am putting the breeds name in quotes). When she was brought to us, we were told that she would probably curl up in our laps to sleep. That did not happen at all! Within moments, the dog began to ATTACK me. She bit my arm to the point that she drew BLOOD. I have trained SPCA dogs that have been abused as well as young puppies of MANY different temperaments and breeds, so I am very experienced with dogs and how to handle them. This should NOT have happened and when it did one would hope that the employees would be quick to remove the puppy. However, when we looked there were no employees to be found, after about five minutes an employee showed up, and we told him what happened he said, "Oh, well, bulldogs are known to bite." NO. Bulldog puppies should not attack people. Bulldogs, for the most part, are happy, laid-back dogs. I know as I have an English Bulldog that I have raised from a pup. He has NEVER drawn blood. He is 7yrs old. The employee left us with the puppy. We were finally able to leave after the dog attacked my mother as well.
I purchased my rabbit from here 6 YEARS ago when he was just 2 months old. He's still going strong! The store is great, there's a huge variety of exotic animals here and the care for the most part is excellent. The rodents however are a bit crowded together and the store supply is a little different in contrast to other stores. For the most part, this is an amazing store.
